Literacy Campaign
Literacy is the foundation of education. One of our key academic goals for our students is that they would become proficient readers and writers, which equips them in their continued education as well as their future careers.
But meeting this goal is not as simple as just teaching a child the alphabet. In order to become fully, proficiently literate, these children need resources.
Over the past months, with the support of generous donors, we were able to open brand new libraries on seventeen of our Legacy Academies, filled with thousands of books. Hallelujah! But this work is only the beginning. We know that getting physical books into the hands of our children is the key to boosting literacy, but there is still more to be done. We need librarians, we need additional programming, we need library management, and we need scheduling changes to allot proper time for reading.
Luckily, you can help with these things. By giving to our Literacy Fund, you can help our Legacy Academies have the staffing and resources they need to equip their students. Your gift can be a part of a child’s journey to learning how to read.
This month, we ask you to prayerfully consider coming alongside our students and giving to support literacy. When you help build a bedrock of education with literacy, you are equipping and empowering a child in permanent, life-changing ways.
